.NAME Domain Names

Introduced in 2001, the .NAME universal top-level extension is the single TLD meant for personal sites only. These domains can include personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other labels people are famous by. Initially, only third-level registrations were possible, so if you wanted to secure john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already acquired 3rd-level domain names remained running.

You will be able to modify the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an active domain to our company if you get its EPP transfer authorization code from the present registrar and we will renew it once the transfer has been finalized. There are no specific conditions on who can get a .NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the goal behind its establishment alive, the Registry organization may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.
